ABSTRACT

Recent developments globally due to coronavirus have hustled the digital disruption and heightened the need for adopting the pillar technologies practised during the pandemic crisis. Disruptive technology is described as when one technology drifts the existing technology and changes the nature or structure of the industry. It is hard to conceive the technologies that will dominate in the post-COVID-19 era since trends are changing awfully, faltering economies, culture, employment, and the workforce individually and collectively. In analysing how Founder-CEOs make decisions by evaluating a particular operational decision, this study focuses on a process viewpoint and tries to understand the behaviour and processes used by decision-makers. For this study, three founding CEOs of technology-enabled businesses in Pakistan were interviewed. The findings of this study will refer to teaching, coaching and aspiring the current founding CEOs. © 2021 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

This cross-sectional study was undertaken to delineate the hygiene behavior among the female garment workers in Bangladesh during pre-COVID-19 period. 500 female garments workers were selected for the study. Data were collected by face-to-face interview method using semi-structured questionnaire which include the information on socio-demography, different components of personal hygiene such as bathing, brushing teeth, washing feet, washing/ changing cloth, washing hair by soap/ shampoo, trimming nail and washing hand. The majority of the participants (>75%) had ideal knowledge and practiceon every considered hygiene behavior. Regarding hand-washing behavior, only 3% had appropriate knowledge and ideally practiced by 60.2%. Knowledge of the respondents was significantly associated with ideal practice of all components (p=0.01). Predictors identified according to age, BMI, education and marital status of respondents, were significantly associated with hygiene related to bathing, washing feet, clothing, hair and hand.

ABSTRACT

Malaysia is one of the developing multi-racial countries in ASEAN that have been affected by the pandemic of COVID19. The first confirmed import case been detected on 24th January 2020 during the transition of new appointed government members. The structured and systematic action taken by the Federal government and supported by the Ministry of Health of Malaysia in deploying the Movement Control Order (MCO) for whole nation effectively. This crisis has disraptively impacted almost organization in Malaysia, including academic institute such as university. This paper will explain the collaboration model called San-Gaku-Ken Renkei and systematic innovation methodology called TRIZ, in Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). The impact that coming from the government, academic and industry roles and action plan has effectively support medical frontlines in facing the crisis of COVID19 pandemic in Malaysia. © 2020 IEEE.
